GB Canvas Strop

A Canvas strop made from natural cotton canvas with leather-bound ends and nickel-plated hardware. The strop is 2” (50mm) wide and the usable length of stropping surface is 16.5” (419mm).

Canvas strops are commonly used as a pre-strop to clean the blade, protecting the more expensive and harder to clean leather strop. This strop requires conditioning prior to use, usually with a purchased chalk-based conditioner paste or dry soap.

This strop is made professionally in New Zealand and is part of our 'snap-on' strop set. With the snap-on system each type of strop is sold separately so you only have to purchase the strop you want. Each strop is designed to snap-on to the leather strop so you can build your set up from the basic leather to a full suite of stropping options. Separate components also make cleaning easier, and a damaged strop can easily be replaced without affecting the rest.
